Sebenarnya, kebanyakan aliran yang ada di dunia ini adalah aliran multifase. Pipa yang terlihat seperti hanya mengalirkan air bisa jadi terdapat gelembung di dalamnya, sehingga terbentuk aliran dua-fase.
