Transformasi digital ini menghadirkan peluang untuk meningkatkan akses, mutu, serta efisiensi layanan kesehatan, terutama di negara-negara dengan tantangan geografis dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Salah satu inovasi yang paling menonjol adalah <strong>telemedicine<\/strong>, yaitu pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk memberikan layanan kesehatan jarak jauh.<\/p>\n<p>Tipe atau bentuk praktik telemedis berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan ilmu kedokteran itu sendiri. Mulai dari awalnya hanya sekadar panggilan telepon emergensi 911, perbincangan via telepon antara pasien dan dokter hingga menjadi telekonferensi, teleassistansi, teleedukasi, tele-ICU, telehome-care, teleradiologi, telepatologi, tele-otoskop, hingga telesurgery.<\/p>\n<p>Melihat perkembangan ini, telemedicine bukan sekadar alat bantu, tetapi bagian dari transformasi sistem kesehatan yang lebih luas menuju layanan yang <strong><em>accessible<\/em><\/strong><strong>, <em>equitable, efficient<\/em>, dan <em>cost-effective<\/em><\/strong><strong>. <\/strong>Buku <em>Telemedicine: Transformation of Healthcare<\/em> hadir untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai telemedicine\u2014dari sejarah, konsep, teknologi, regulasi, hingga tantangan dan peluang implementasi di berbagai konteks. Dengan pendekatan interdisipliner, mencakup perspektif kebijakan, ekonomi, teknologi, dan praktik klinis, buku ini bertujuan menjadi rujukan bagi akademisi, pembuat kebijakan, penyedia layanan kesehatan, dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya dalam mengembangkan telemedicine yang efektif, aman, dan berkelanjutan.<\/p>\n<p>Revolusi digital dalam kesehatan merupakan bagian integral dari transformasi sistem kesehatan menuju era modern yang berbasis data, teknologi, dan kolaborasi lintas sektor.
