Ilmu keperawatan sebagai disiplin profesional terus berkembang seiring kebutuhan masyarakat yang semakin kompleks. Research and Development (R&D) merupakan metodologi sistematis yang menjembatani penemuan pengetahuan ilmiah dengan penciptaan produk atau intervensi yang aplikatif (Nursalam, 2020). Pemahaman yang mendalam tentang landasan filosofis menjadi krusial bagi peneliti pada jenjang magister dan doktoral karena memengaruhi seluruh keputusan metodologis. Ontologi adalah cabang filsafat yang mempertanyakan hakikat realitas, yakni apa yang ada, apa yang dapat diketahui, dan bagaimana sifat dasar dari realitas tersebut. Dalam konteks R&D keperawatan, pertanyaan ontologis yang mendasar adalah: \u201cApakah produk atau intervensi keperawatan yang akan dikembangkan bersifat objektif dan dapat diukur secara independen, ataukah realitasnya juga dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman subjektif pengguna?\u201d Ontologi keperawatan menyangkut sifat praktik keperawatan dan proses kesehatan manusia. R&D dalam keperawatan mengakui bahwa realitas bersifat plural, terdapat aspek objektif yang dapat diukur (misalnya efektivitas klinis suatu intervensi) sekaligus aspek subjektif yang perlu dipahami dari perspektif pasien sebagai penerima intervensi. Oleh karena itu, peneliti R&D perlu menyadari bahwa produk yang dikembangkan memiliki dimensi objektif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
